CLOSED. Venerable, more-than-a-century old German restaurant, decorated with antiques and photos of dead celebrities, got a new lease on life when it was taken over in 2016 by chef Thomas Hauck of the acclaimed C. 1880. It's still classic German food, but better made than it's been in many years.
